Ecorex Thin BED Mortar is a high strength adhesive for quick and firm laying of AAC block with thin joints. It is a factory mixed mortar made up of cement, graded sand and blended with polymers to impart high strength and water retention properties even when in thickness of 2-3mm layer.

Quantity of Ecorex Thin BED Mortar required is 3 time lesser than conventional mortar.
No job site blending of cement & sand is required, only water is to be added.
Preparation and Application
In a clean bucket, mix Ecorex block jointing mortar in 25-30 % of water.
Mixing By Mixer Or Tool
Mix first for 5-10 minutes by electrical mixer to mix homogeneously.
Allow mortar to stand for 5 minutes.
Mix again for 2-3 minutes. Now thin bed mortar is ready to use.
Before application clean the surface of blocks using suitable tools like brush so that any foreign material is not held on the blocks.
Wet the surface of blocks before applying mortar.
Mortar should be spread on all sides of block in such a way to maintain the bond thickness 2-3 mm.
Use Spirit Level and fibre hammer to remove any air gaps in between blocks for proper jointing and alignment.
Do not disturb the wall after application of mortar for at least 24 hours.
The setting time is affected by climatic conditions, allow stand-alone time accordingly.
Notes on Application / limitation
- Cementitious substrates must be atleast 28 day sold.
- Do not exceed the recommended water dosage. Apply only to sound, prepared substrates. Do not exceed the maximum layer thickness.
- Protect freshly applied material from freezing and rain etc.
